CES hails as DSPC's over-all champion in English

Cupang Elementary School (CES) was awarded as Division Schools Press Conference Over-All Champion in Englishand 2nd placer in Filipino last October 13, 2013 at Balanga Elementary School, Balanga City.

Kindergarten Festival of Talents held

Division of City of Balanga celebrated Kindergarten Festival of Talents with the theme “Ipagmalaki: Iba’t ibang kakayahan ng mga Kindergarten”. Cupang Elementary joined the said activity and bagged various awards.Winners in the District Level held at Cataning Elementary School on October 18, 2013 were: Riona Faye P. Cruz, 3rd place in Story Telling; Janna Angelhen M. Socias, 1st place in Nursery Rhyme; and Ymarah Eunice D. Tuazon, Roshel Avegail M. Robiano, Alyssa Theresse T. Franco, Maria Margarette M.Vicente, Krizza Mary D. Santos,Cyrille Jae M. Dela Cruz, Chrisella Mariz S. Gonzales, Miles Audrey P. Francisco, Carl Naithan D. Mendoza, Jeffrey Abarquez, John Paul M. Granado and Louel C.Gonzales, 1st place in Chamber Theater. In the division level held at Balanga Elementary School on October 30, 2013 awards garnered were Story Telling – 2nd place, Nursery Rhyme. 1st place and Chamber Theatre – 2nd place. Teacher coaches were Mrs. Josephine C. Llamzon, Mrs. Rhodora E. Prado, Mrs. Marilyn A. Roxas, Ms. Carmela P. Pincil and

CES pupils and teachers win in Science and Math Competition

    Cupang Elementary School(CES) pupils and teachers won in Science and Math competitions held in the City Division of Balanga. YES-O advisers and members participated in the Science Fair held at Tenejero ElementarySchool last September 14, 2013. This contest had many categories like Science Quiz, Trivia, Journalism, Postermaking, Jingle and Odyssey of the Mind. The winners were: Science quiz III- 2nd Runner-Up, Dan AlbertGuila, Science Quiz V, 1stRunner- Up, Christian Johann A. Labrador and Science Journalism V- 1st Runner-Up, Don Edmhar Ramos. Their coaches were Mrs. Myra P. Dizon and Mrs. Melinda S. Mendoza. In the teacher category, Mrs. Charito S. Tuazon won the Best Action Research; Mrs. Susana J. Javier won the Best Strategic Intervention Material and Mrs. Melinda S. Mendoza and Mrs. Melinda M. Duran won the Best Lesson Exemplar.

    In the Math competition held in Balanga Elementary School last September 17, 2013, the winner from Grade III was Earl Sonny Cortez- 2nd place and his coach was Mrs. Myra P. Dizon. Congratulations everyone. Keep it up!

CES joins City Meet 2013

Cupang Elementary School (CES) joined City Meet 2013 last October 23 –25 held at Balanga City Athletic Ground. CES Drum and Lyre was hailed as the champion for  three consecutive years. Mrs. Sonia A. Labrador and Mrs. Donna C. Caragay were the coordinators. In basketball game CES grabbed the 3rd place, the players were: AlfredoJaraba, Alexander Dizon, Russel Rodriguez, Rinnan Garcia, Chasey Monte De Ramos, Lenard Charlez De Leon, Joshua Tallorin, Sayrod Sayson, Gabriel Buenaventura, Geimar Basuel, JB Amado and Isaiah Gaddyzk De Leon. Their coach was Mr. Michael R. Firaza and the assistant coach was Mr. Benjen Q. Ramirez. On athletics boys and girls, all players showed their domination in different kinds of events. Maila Mae Abadejos bagged the 1st place in 1500 meters and in long jump, at the same time she got the 2nd place in 800 meters. Lara Sheryl Sumandal downed to 3rd place in the 200 meters. Their coach was Mrs. Myra Dizon and her assistant coach was Mrs. Liezl Guevarra. Jonathan Cruz landed 1st place in 100 meters, Keith Garcia als landed 3rd place in Javeline Throw and Jester De Dios took the 1st place in the 800 meters. Their coach was Mrs. Marianne Cruz. In table tennis both boys and girls, Paul Vincent Tolentino got the 1st place while Earl Lawrence Tolentino got the 3rd place. Their coach was Mrs. Melinda Mendoza. Aiah Feby Tallado was the 3rd placer in table tennis girls. Her coach was Mrs. Susan Javier. For lawn tennis: Arvin Joseph Sison, 2nd placer and Paulo Justine De Jesus, 3rd placer. Their coaches were Mrs. Kathleen Yandan and Mrs. Guia De Jesus. The other participants in Table Tennis (Boys) were Justin Lenard C. Juliano and Antonigelo Suarez, in Table Tennis (Girls) were Bea Sherielle Mendoza, Michaela Marie Dacion and Julianne Patricia De Leon,in Chess (Girls) were Aquila Joy Pincil and Crystal Nisay, in Chess (Boys) were Vince O’neal Balbuena and Jeriel Bautista,in Sepak Takraw were Mark Joseph Sacdalan, Ron Mart De Jesus, Keith Landero, Kevin Casido and Rimwell Nisay. Lenard Christian De Leon bagged the 3rd place for badminton boys, his coach was Mrs. Melinda Nisay. Congratulations! All of you are the pride of Cupang Elementary School. Good luck for the upcoming CLRAA 2013.

Shining Stars by Zyril D. Vasquez

    Outstanding teachers, as they say, are the one who showed their hard work and their best to teach their students. In this school year, four teachers outstand.

1. Mrs. Myra P. Dizon – She had been teaching here for almost 20 years. She finished her studies at Tomas Del Rosario Academy and her masteral at Bulacan State University. Because of her hard work, her present position is Master Teacher 2, and her advisory class is III-SSES. She is the Reading Coordinator since 2010 up to present. She is an Academic Coach for categories like Division Read-A Thon, Division Science Quiz III and Division Math Quiz III. She is also a Sports Coach for 18 years like Athletics, Lawn Tennis and Badminton. She passed the 2011 (NQEP) National Qualifying Examination for Principals last October 30, 2011. Her philosophy in life, “Do unto others what you want others do unto you.”

2. Mrs. Charito S. Tuazon – She finished her studies at Tomas Del Rosario Academy and her masteral with 27 units. She had been teaching for 18 years. Her present position is Teacher III and her present grade assignment is Grade I-SSES. She is the Best Action Research in the Teacher’s Category of the 2013 Division Science Festival which was held last September 14, 2013. She is a Galing Guro Awardee in 2009, Outstanding Teacher T-II 2013, both in school and Division Level and our representative in the Regional Search. . For her, “Positive attitude can really make dreams come true.”

3. Mrs. Josephine M. Nisay – She is the SPG/HKS Coordinator since 2009 to 2013. She finished her studies at Tomas Del Rosario College and took up her masteral degree at Bataan Peninsula State University with 6 units; and at Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Scienceand Technology (EARIST) with 26 units (MAED-SPED). She has been teaching since June 2003. Her present position is Teacher I and her present grade assignment is Grade III-Rose. She is a winning coachfor 2 consecutive years-Champion in Division Hands on-minds on during Division Elementary Science Club Month Celebration (2010-2011). She is the coach of the second placer Hands on-minds on (Regional Science Quest for Elementary Level) last January 15, 2010, and she is also an Outstanding Teacher I. Her principle in life is, “It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.”

4. Mrs. Melinda S. Mendoza – She is the adviser at Grade V-Ophiuchus. She graduated at Tomas Del Rosario College and finished her masteral at the same academy with 42 units. She had been teaching for 8 years and her present position is Teacher III. She is Cupang Elementary School’s Outstanding Teacher III. She is one of the Best Division Yes-O Adviser who made Cupang Elementary School as one of the Best Division Yes-O Implementer. She is a Division Winning Coach in English Broadcasting Team who represents the division to regional level in four consecutive years. All achievements are something we should really be proud of.

SPG leads Teachers Day Celebration by: Crystal C. Nisay

Cupang Elementary School celebrated Teacher’s Day through the efforts of Dr. Bernadette G. Paraiso, principal, Mrs. Kathleen Yandan, SPG adviser, and SPG officers held at CES Covered Court, October 3. With the theme, “My Teacher, My Hero,“ the celebration turned out to be successful. All teachers were given cards, balloons and roses by the SPG officers and representative in every section, the class president, to show their respect and love to their teachers and principal. We salute all the teachers and principals in the whole world , you are truly effective and competent builders of the child’s immortal soul. WORLD TEACHERS DAY. SPG adviser, Mrs. Kathleen S. Yandan, and SPG Officers lead the Teachers Day Celebration in CES Covered Court, October 3.
